You've downloaded BATTS, or you're reading this on the web. You probably have a couple of questions. This is the introductory bit of the manual where we attempt to answer the obvious questions for you.

What Is BATTS?

BATTS is the Barnhard Associates Trouble Ticket System. BATTS is a command-line oriented trouble-ticketing system for Unix systems with the following features:

BATTS is written in Perl, and uses MySQL for its back end. Use of the Perl DBI theoretically provides for portability to other databases, though no effort has yet been taken to test this theory. BATTS is Open-Source software, available under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL), Version 2 or later. See the appendix called GNU General Public License for the text of the license.
