Performance Matters Doesn't It !?

Systems ideally should be designed to run forever (beyond your planning horizon) the way you normally use them and have sufficient resource margins to allow for substantial growth in requirements without failure.

Systems that are not engineered in this manner tend to be very fragile, unstable, and fraught with uncertainty.

Systems that are appropriately engineered can deal much better both with established and emergent situations.
